James Bond Movie Posters Feature in Bonhams' World of Spies Sale

Real stories of World War Two codebreaking and James Bond posters and ephemera will go under the hammer in the May 18-28 Bonhams online sale Espionage: Fact and Fiction.
Highlights of the sale include:
- Thunderball artwork (1965, Italian) comprising an original photo montage artwork, photographs on card (framed), together with corresponding poster for the 1971 re-release, linen backed, and with a Perspex window on the back of the frame showing the original instructions from the Italian printers (estimate: £1,200-£1,800)
- Diamonds are Forever (1971) British quad poster, linen backed, artwork by Robert E. McGinnis (1926-2025) (estimate: £800-£1,200)
- a rare three rotor Heimsoeth & Rinke Enigma cipher machine (German, circa 1941) used principally by the army (Wehrmacht) and was their favoured cipher device (estimate: £120,000-£160,000)
- two Konski & Kruger cipher rotors in original pine case (German, circa 1938, estimate: £10,000-£15,000), additional rotors IV and V which were introduced for Enigma machines in December 1938 to improve cipher security
- the original three-person amphibious scubacraft from Q's workshop in the film Spectre (circa 2015, estimate: £50,000- £70,000) and a Day Of The Dead parade Mexican bicycle float from Spectre (2015, estimate: £6,000-£8,000)
