The Passing of the Legendary Larry McMurtry

Larry McMurtry on the cover of our spring 2012 issue.

Larry McMurtry, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Oscar-winning screenwriter, and esteemed antiquarian bookseller, who died last week at the age of 84, was something of a patron saint of bibliophiles. He is pictured above on the cover of our spring 2012 issue, when we visited him at his home in Archer City, Texas.

To honor his passing, we’ve rounded up some of our best coverage of McMurtry over the years for your reading pleasure.
