Bunch Auctions is excited to bring to the Americana market a treasure trove of historical documents, artifacts, books, and ephemera from the family of Francis Hopkinson, Signer of the Declaration of Independence. (From Wikipedia) "Francis Hopkinson, 1737-1791 was an author and composer. He designed Continental paper money, the first United States coin, and early versions of the American flag. He was also one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence in July 1776, as a delegate from New Jersey. He served in various roles in the early United States government including as a member of the Second Continental Congress and as a member of the Navy Board. He later became the first federal judge of the Eastern District Court of Pennsylvania on September 30, 1789."

Bunch Auctions is asking all clients to utilize remote bidding options. Bidding is available by absentee, by phone, or online with BunchLive, Live Auctioneers, Invaluable, and AuctionZip. While the live sale will continue as planned, out of an abundance of caution for our clients, we will not be hosting in-person bidding in our Chadds Ford salesroom.

PREVIEW POLICY: Because of the current COVID-19 environment in which we find ourselves, and out of an overriding concern for the safety and health of our staff and all of our clients, it is not possible to schedule open preview hours for any sales. In fact, right now, preview is by internet catalog and phone consultation only. We are available to talk to you about the works by phone and wwe'll gladly provide more photos as requested.
