Call For Submissions For New Adana Exhibition

St Bride Foundation

The historic St Bride Foundation printing centre in London is asking for contributions from letterpress printers using Adana preses for its new exhibition next year.

Adana was founded in 1922 by young ex-soldier Donald Aspinall and still trades today as part of the Caslon group, enjoying new success thanks to the interest of a new generation in letterpress.

Opening in January 2023, the exhibition will feature some of the best work produced on these small presses. Anybody who has an Adana-printed item of which they are especially proud is asked to send it in for possible inclusion. Items cannot be returned, but the best examples will be displayed in the exhibition cabinets an end up as part of a small collection of letterpress hobby printing at St Bride Library when the exhibition finishes.

Prints should be sent to: Bob Richardson, St Bride Foundation, 14 Bride Lane, Fleet Street, London EC4Y 8EQ

More information at the St Bride Foundation or contact library@sbf.org.uk with any questions.

Graphic designer and staff member at St Bride Library Bob Richardson will also be giving a talk at the foundation (in person and online) on Adana to coincide with the exhibition at 7pm on January 31, 2023, called Print Pound Notes! Celebrating 100 years of Adana.
