'Books in Boston' New Antiquarian Book & Ephemera Fair Announced

MW Book Fairs has announced the launch of Books in Boston @ Hilton Back Bay, a new antiquarian book & ephemera fair. Initial interest has been strong, with 25 dealers committed since the public announcement of the show.

It will be held on October 28,  2023, 8am - 4pm at The Boston Hilton Back Bay’s Belvidere Ballroom, 40 Dalton Street in Boston, Massachusetts, which makes it within easy walking distance from the Boston International Antiquarian Book Fair to be held at the Hynes Convention Center October 27-29, 2023. The Hilton offers ideal amenities for dealers and attendees, including easy load-in, parking options, comfortable rooms, and easy access to the Prudential Center across the street.

Among those already confirmed at Books in Boston are Aaron Benneian Historical Americana,  Peter Luke, Old Working Books & Bindery, Read-em-Again Books, gallery bfa, James Arsenault & Company ABAA, Wiggins Fine Books ABAA, Richard Mori Books, William Hutchison, House of Mirth Photos ABAA, Lippincott Books, Colebrook Book Barn ABAA, Christopher’s Rare Books, The Country Bookshop, AIGLATSON, John Liberati Books, The Ridge Books, Curt Wendler, and The Liberty Book Store ABAA.

As a 'shadow show',  Books in Boston @ Hilton Back Bay will open on Saturday four hours prior to the Boston International Antiquarian Book Fair that opens at noon. The Hilton, a few minutes walking distance from the Hynes, presents easy access from the Boston International Antiquarian Book Fair and its 120 dealers from around the world and the usual 5,000 visitors.

The principals of MW Book Fairs are Duane A. Stevens of Wiggins Fine Books ABAA, ILAB, SNEAB of Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts and Richard Mori of Mori Books, Nashua, New Hampshire. Duane was the co-developer along with Mark Brumberg of the Northampton Book and Book Arts Fair held for several years at Smith College and the Center for the Arts in Northampton, Massachusetts and along with Richard developed and promoted the recent antiquarian book fair held at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
