35th Annual Printers Row Lit Fest

Saturday, June 8th, 2019 - Sunday, June 9th, 2019

This year’s fair includes more book dealers, all-free programs, a kids favorite book character costume parade, and much more.

The Printers Row Lit Fest, the largest free outdoor literary showcase in the Midwest, marks its 35th year with an expanded outdoor presence and a return to its original roots as a community-based celebration for book lovers presented by the not-for-profit Near South Planning Board.

Valerie Jarrett and Alex Kotlowitz, 2019 Winner of the Harold Washington Literary Award, will be featured in this year’s festival programming, with many more to be announced soon. The growing list of sponsors for the 2019 Printers Row Lit Fest includes Wintrust, Chicago Tribune, WBEZ Chicago, Poetry Foundation, Newcity, American Writers Museum, Make It Better, and Chicago Public Library.
