Other lots include a letter signed by King Henry VII regarding Catherine of Aragon's dowry: the one-page signed letter in French is dated April 8, 1506. It is a  letter of recommendation for Catherine of Aragon's chamberlain who was leaving for Spain, sent to the King of Castile and Granada, Philip I of Austria. The matter at hand was evidently Catherine of Aragon's dowry and her hope that King Philip of Castile would exert pressure upon her father, Ferdinand V of Aragon (estimate: $30,000+).

Additionally there is a letter signed by King Henry VIII regarding Thomas Cranmer. The one-page letter in French, October 1, 1532, was sent to the Imperial Court of the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V with whom Cranmer was travelling in Italy as an English ambassador. The letter, addressed to the Master of Requests for the Emperor, thanks him for welcoming his earlier ambassadors and agents and for helping to maintain good relations between England and the Empire. It announces that Nicholas Hawkins, Archdeacon of Ely, is being sent in place of Thomas Cranmer, who was to return home to become Archbishop of Canterbury (estimate: $40,000+).

Finally, one of the finest oversized autographed portraits of British monarchs to come to auction is a portrait of the newly crowned Queen Elizabeth II, signed in the year of her coronation.

Other highlights include a Wright Brothers signed photo, historic Beatles autographs signed at Shea Stadium in 1965, and important presidential autographs from Abraham Lincoln, Barack Obama, and John F. Kennedy.

The Fine Autograph and Artifacts featuring Royalty auction by RR Auction ends March 8.
