Freeman's Auctions Sale #6563: Woman's Work. Since its earliest days, Freeman’s has been a leader in championing women artists, from regional luminaries such as Fern Coppedge and Gertrude Abercrombie to internationally recognized figures including Helen Frankenthaler, Jane Piper, and Sally Michel Avery. The firm has also helped establish markets for artists and designers such as Toshiko Takaezu, Mira Nakashima, and Sylvia Shaw Judson.

Freeman’s is now pleased to launch Women’s Work in honor of Women’s History Month, welcoming consignments of exceptional examples of painting, sculpture, prints, ceramics, design, couture, jewelry, rare books, and manuscripts by women creators. We are seeking works across all categories, including couture by Chanel, pottery by Lucie Rie, and first editions and manuscripts by Virginia Woolf.
