ILAB Breslauer Prize for Bibliography Receives $25,000 Donation

The endowment of the ILAB Breslauer Prize for Bibliography has recently been funded with a further generous donation of $25,000 from the B.H. Breslauer Foundation of New York — Submissions are currently being accepted for the 2022 prizes.

The International League of Antiquarian Booksellers can now announce that the future of these important prizes in the field of bibliography is assured.

After the joy of the Colmar fair, it was time that we prepared our new stock and set off for the Maastricht Antiquarian Book & Print (MABP) fair. Maastricht is in the very south of the Netherlands, in South Limburg, a thin strand between Germany and Belgium. The MABP is a lovely little fair. In St Jan's church, in the centre of the old town, overlooking the market square. 

   

Sally Burdon Named New President of the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers

At the Ordinary General Meeting on 4th February 2018 the presidents of ILAB’s national member associations voted for Sally Burdon (Australia) as new ILAB President. She succeeds Gonzalo F. Pontes who served as President from 2016 to 2018; and will be supported by ILAB Vice??President Fabrizio Govi (Italy).

Sally Burdon is very familiar with the work of ILAB. She has been part of the ILAB committee since 2014 and served as Vice-President under Gonzalo F. Pontes for the past two years.

ILAB Launches Mentoring Program to Support Next Generation of the Antiquarian Book Trade

13 March 2017: Over the past few months, ILAB has developed a new International Mentoring Programme which aims to help young or recently launched booksellers throughout the world by offering support and counsel on a one to one basis. The ILAB International Mentoring Programme gives experienced booksellers the opportunity to lend a hand in the early days of a bookseller’s career, when help is likely most needed.
