Coming up this weekend in Hong Kong is China in Print, where thirty dealers in rare books, manuscripts, and photography will offer "the finest examples of printed works from the Far East and rest of the world." Managed by Bernard Quaritch of London and sponsored by AbeBooks, the fair anticipates a "buoyant market" in its sixth year, according to the organizers. Here's a sampling of what will be showcased:

Agatha Christie’s Jewels Found in Old Suitcase, Now Offered at Bonhams

Hidden treasure from the home of the nation’s much-loved author, Agatha Christie, comes to light at the Bonhams, Knightsbridge Jewellery auction on 8th October.

Amongst the trees that line the banks of the sparkling Dart estuary, stands Greenway, the handsome Devon home of Agatha Christie. Even after the murder-mystery writer has long departed, her house continues to reveal secrets of its own.

Today, we begin an occasional series at Fine Books where we conduct brief interviews with bibliomystery authors.  Lovers of antiquarian books and lovers of mystery novels find few reading pleasures greater than the bibliomystery.  A bibliomystery, for the uninitiated, is a mystery centered around books.  (More info here).
