ALDE will sell 224 lots from the library of Jacques Attali on Tuesday, June 25. Some excellent philosophical and literary editions to be had, including Alain-Fournier's Le Grand Meaulnes (1913), estimated at €14,000–16,000, and Vercors' Le Silence de la mer (1942), estimated at €12,000–15,000.

Another very crowded auction week:
On Monday, November 26, Ketterer Kunst held a sale of Rare Books in Hamburg. A German copy of the Nuremberg Chronicle in a mid-sixteenth-century binding sold for ??147,600, and a Latin Book of Hours (use of Troyes) from around 1480 in a nineteenth-century find binding by Simier fetched ??70,110.

PBA Galleries is pleased to offer the Tyler-Goodwyn Family Archive, an archive of President John Tyler descendants containing approximately 265 letters, documents, writings, and other items, including manuscripts, typed material, partially printed forms, and more, plus silver cups
Angling and Sporting Highlights from the Richard Beagle Collection, Part I
The first of two auctions by PBA Galleries of Richard Beagle’s Collection of Angling and Sporting Books, on June 1, 2017, featured rare and important works on fishing, plus scarce accounts of big game hunting and adventures in the wild. The books were gathered over multiple decades by Mr. Beagle, who began collecting sporting books in the early 1960’s, frequenting the many used book stores in the greater Los Angeles area and corresponding with sporting book dealers, including a number in England.
