Complete Set of Tasha Tudor “Corgiville” Watercolors at Waverly Rare Books’ Sept. 12 Auction

Falls Church, VA – The Waverly Rare Books division of Quinn’s Auction Galleries will conduct a Sept. 12, 2019 auction packed with 471 lots of rare books, high-quality prints, autographs and other ephemera. A featured lot is a complete set of original watercolors by beloved children’s author Tasha Tudor for her 1966 book, The Great Corgiville Kidnapping, with impeccable family provenance.

Waverly Rare Books’ July 18 Auction Features Modern & Contemporary Prints and Posters

Falls Church, VA – Waverly Rare Books, a division of Quinn’s Auction Galleries, will host a Thursday, July 18 sale featuring outstanding modern and contemporary prints and posters from the 19th century to the present day. Artists represented include Pablo Picasso, Frances Gearhart, Walter Henry Williams, Mary Bauermeister, Leroy Neiman, Werner Drewes and Kathleen Spagnolo, among many others. The 261-lot auction will be held at Quinn’s Falls Church gallery, with absentee and Internet live bidding through LiveAuctioneers.

Catherine Payling Named Director of Waverly Rare Books, a Division of Quinn’s Auction Galleries

FALLS CHURCH, Va. - Quinn’s Auction Galleries Executive Vice President Matthew Quinn today announced the appointment of Catherine Payling, MBE, to the position of director of Waverly Rare Books, a Quinn’s subsidiary. Payling’s 25-year career in creative and nonprofit industries includes 15 years as curator/director of Keats House Museum in Rome and two years as an adjunct professor at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
