Through these hour-long sessions, participants will examine case studies relevant to thinking through the process of planning potential futures for a Collection.

As with previous iterations, each offering will be attended by private collectors, professional librarians and curators as well as booksellers and auctioneers.

The Antiquarian Booksellers' Association of America (ABAA) is thrilled to host a Virtual Book Fair as part of the celebrations marking its 75th anniversary. This special online event will bring together booksellers, collectors, and enthusiasts worldwide, offering an opportunity to explore and purchase rare and antiquarian books, manuscripts, ephemera, and more from any place and time.

Open continuously from 12 pm ET on Wednesday until 7 pm ET on Friday.

September 27, 2024 - September 29, 2024 The Empire State Rare Book and Print Fair

The Empire State Rare Book and Print Fair will bring over 60 rare book, print and ephemera exhibitors from across the country to historic City College of New York. Visitors can browse books, prints and ephemera on a broad range of topics and areas. Our fairs are social events that cultivate a welcoming experience for all. There will be items at the fair to fit all budgets.

Fri, Sep 27th 5pm - 9pm: Preview Night

Tickets cost $60 and include wine, canapes, live music and first access to the books and prints. Tickets are valid or Saturday and Sunday

Sat, Sep 28th 11am – 7pm: Book Fair

Sun, Sep 29th 11am – 5pm: Book Fair

Entry to the fair on Saturday and Sunday will be $20, $10 for students and free for under 16s or everyone with a valid CCNY student ID. Tickets are valid for unlimited entries on both Saturday and Sunday.

All routes lead to Los Angeles’ historic Union Station for Rare Books LA.

Featuring leading specialists in antiquarian books, ephemera, and maps, this exciting event takes place in the historic Ticket Concourse at Union Station, the backdrop for numerous classic films and television shows as well as the 2021 Academy Awards. Union Station is transit friendly, offers ample affordable parking, and is close to numerous restaurants and hotels.

In conjunction with the book fair, a series of presentations by local authors and historians are included with admission.
