2009-08-18 October is "Animal" month at Bonhams & Butterfields with two auctions highlighting beasts and bears. The fall will have something for animal lovers of all types! Beginning on October 3 in Las Vegas with the firm's first Natural History sale featuring a rare 66-million year old Tyrannosaurus skeleton - dubbed "Samson" followed by 'Winnie-the-Pooh and Images Too' on October 19th. AUCTION: October 3, Natural History featuring "Samson," one of the largest known Tyrannosaurus rex specimens ever discovered will be offered during the company's first Natural History auction to be held at The Venetian in Las Vegas. The sale will contain approximately 50 lots
of fossils with the centerpiece of the sale focusing on the expertly mounted female T. rex, expected to bring millions of dollars.

AUCTION: October 19, Fine Books & Manuscripts will feature 'Winnie-the-Pooh and Images Too,' an archive of rare correspondence and black and white photographs related to the personal life of
Winnie-the-Pooh author A. A. Milne, his wife, and his son Christopher Robin. Highlights will include three charming letters written by
Christopher Robin, the earliest at age nine, and six rare snapshots dating from 1928-1930 capturing images of the Milnes at home, including
two rare pictures of Christopher Robin with his beloved Winnie-the-Pooh bear.
