Boxes Unveils a New Collecting App for iOS

Miami, FL—Boxes, a comprehensive tool for organizing your belongings, buying and selling with others, announces the official launch of Boxes 2. Set to go live in the App Store in July 2015. Boxes 2 follows the steps of the original Boxes, while improving user experience with a brand new design. The app has been reengineered from the ground up for speed and has over 75 new features, including the ability for sellers to accept payments from right inside Boxes using a new proprietary payment system.

Over 450,000 people have signed up since the beta began this February 2015, and the community has added over $100 million worth of items.

Boxes allows users to capture photos of their items and information (such as receipts, warranty info and more), organize them into boxes they create, and access them at any time from a mobile device or on the web. Items shared with the community can be discovered by others, listed for sale, and purchased from inside Boxes.

“Boxes 2 is our best work yet,” said Solomon Engel, founder and CEO. “We’ve created the most comprehensive tool for organizing your belongings while also being able to buy and sell with others. We have looked at every single element of the original Boxes and have spared no effort to make things how they should be. Since the beta started, the community’s growth has shown us that we were on the right track with this release.”

Boxes 2 includes a new, proprietary payment system that allows buyers to pay for items instantly within the app. Sellers can setup a shop, collect funds that can be deposited directly into their bank accounts, and send invoices for payment in private transactions.

“Our goal is to make Boxes an extension to everyone’s belongings. We needed to go beyond the traditional means of just posting items online with the sole purpose of selling them”, said Engel. “The response has been amazing. Opening up the beta is a huge step for the company. We see a lot of opportunity in many markets and lots of growth around collectibles and fashion. We're excited to introduce the world to Boxes 2, and we hope it becomes the place for everyone to keep their stuff.”

Boxes 2 will be available for download in the App Store in July 2015. Initially available for iOS, Boxes will be available for Android devices in early winter 2016 A full web version is currently in beta testing, and a full-access launch will be in the next month.
