2013 Akron Antiquarian Book Fair Announced

The 31st Annual Akron Antiquarian Book Fair will be held 3:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, March 29, and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2013.  Admission donation to the Book & Paper event is $5.00 or $3.00 for Students.

More than 40 vendors will offer rare and collectible books, maps, posters and other printed materials at the John S. Knight Convention Center at 77 E. Mill St.and Broadway in downtown Akron.

This event attracts collectors of all types of printed materials. They are priced modestly from $5 to the rare copies of valuable books and lithoprints, including printed ephemera materials like posters, magazines, journals and theatre programs. Papers are emphasized because those items were never expected to be saved or collected.

The book fair is held on Easter weekend to take advantage of Good Friday, when patrons line up early to shop.

Food and beverages will be sold, and parking is available in the nearby decks. Free parking after 6 p.m. on Friday and all day on Saturday.

Call 330-865-5831 or Visit www.NOBSweb.org for more information about the event, sponsored by the non-profit Northern Ohio Bibliophilic Society (N.O.B.S.)

Hop to it!
